Welcome to our Kindergarten-3nd Grade Classroom. We are having a lot of fun this year as we learn about all kinds of interesting things!

When we get to school each day, we have morning Worship with each other. During Worship, we listen to stories about Jesus, sing songs, learn memory verses and pray. Worship time is very important to us, that's why we do it as soon as we get here! 

After worship, it's time for Calendar Time! We are learning about dates, months, names of the days, years, and holidays. We'll also use ice cream cut-outs to count the number of days that we have been in school. Each day we add a ice cream cut-out with the number of the day of school that it is.  When we reach 100 days, we are going to have a big party with the whole school!

After Calendar Time, we learn all about adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, telling time, counting money...all during Math class.  When we are finished with our daily Math assignment, we will even have a chance to spend some time in the Math center where there are lots of fun games and drills to help us improve our Math skills.

Next, we have Reading Class. Reading Class is one of the most important classes of the day in our classroom.  There are many exciting parts of Reading Class including Guided Reading, Writing time, Working With Words, and Self-selected Reading time.  As part of Reading Class, we get to hang out in our favorite spot in the entire classroom, our Reading Chalet. We can look at books or listen to stories that are on CD's. 

Before long, we'll take a break for some exercise either in the gym or out on our playground. Sometimes we'll play group games and sometimes we'll get to play whatever we want to.  No matter what we choose to play, we will always have fun during recess.
 
 After recess, it's time for Social Studies and Science.  During Social Studies, we'll learn about our community, government, and strengthen our map skills. During Science, we'll learn about living things such as plants and animals, our solar system, magnets, taking care of our bodies, and much more! 

Before we know it, it will be lunch time. We've been so busy that we are ready to eat! On most days, we bring our own lunches.  But on Wednesday and Friday, we can buy hot lunch from the school lunch room. 

After lunch, we have the most important class of the day, Bible class.  During Bible class, we'll learn about the heroes of the Bible as well as God's plan for our lives.  Bible class truly is the highlight of our day!

After Bible class, we have center time and work on our classroom story book. This book is a collection of stories that have been written by the very students that are in our class. We are very excited to see the finished product soon!

Before we leave for the day, we'll have Music, Art, and PE classes.  These classes rotate each day so we'll get to do something new every single day!

Each day, we know that all the fun we are having while we learn is helping us get ready for next year, every year to come, and eternity!
